GRAN FONDO FESTIVAL
12-14 SEPTEMBER
The Port Douglas Gran Fondo Festival will be held in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, Tropical North Queensland. The three-day festival is the perfect excuse to visit and explore our stunning region.
The 136km and 100km Gran Fondo, the 60km Semi Fondo and the 48km Medio Fondo will be held on Sunday 14 September.
In addition, Australia’s newest running event is now part of the Festival! Join us on Saturday 13 September 2025 for the very first RUN PORT DOUGLAS event. There is a distance for everyone with a 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km races to choose from. All distances will finish along Port Douglas’ Four Mile Beach.

The annual Port Douglas Marlin Challenge is during the heavy tackle season each year
Anglers from all over Australia and the world come to Port Douglas to undertake the challenge of fishing for one of the ocean’s greatest prizes, the Marlin.
The Marlin Coast hosts the best Marlin fishing in the world with game boats and crews arriving globally to compete from Port Douglas, all with the anticipation of being the one to catch the 1,000lb fish.
